Status: 90-95% (FDFS). The noon show status must be 100%
Hari and Ravi [both played by Murali Gopi] are twins, in fact, identical twins. They are often described as parts of a whole. During their younger days their parents decided that they shouldn't depend on each other so much. So they separated them and as result their (twins') personality differed. Hari became a doctor and Ravi became, I think, an engineer(not so sure about this).
One day Dr. Hari received a call from the Hospital––The surgery of one of the patients is going wrong and they need his assistance. Even though the patient (a Kadhakali artist) was not one of his, Hari always shown a special interest (read empathy + sympathy) in him. The call really disturbs Hari. On his way to the hospital Hari dies in an accident. And Ravi knowing that something happened to Hari leaps from a building under construction in an attempt to suicide. However, a false floor saves him.
Ravi wakes up in the Hospital and began to behave like he is Hari. A police officer (C.I.), played by Fahad Fazil, gets suspicious of this. He wants to know the truth.
Fahad believes that Ravi is mentally unstable and can become a threat to the society. But things get complicated when Ravi successfully completes a complicated surgery. This throws a bunch of questions like:
- Who actually died––Ravi or Hari ? If it is Hari then why Ravi behaves like Hari ?
- Whether the death is actually an accident or a murder ? If it is a murder, then why ?
- Why is Fahad so obsessed with the case ?
To know all these you have to watch the movie.
When I watched the movie with santi I had a bunch of doubts like why the story takes place in Bangalore ? [this is the most important question] What is the need for Fahad to have a son ? What is Hari's obsession with butterflies ? Why the twins are so much interested in a Kadhakali artist ? Why some of the scenes in the trailer is missing from the movie ? The movie answers almost all of the questions.
The movie started with a slow pace in the first half felt like crawling in the second half. I think script writer lost his touch in the second half or maybe he was trying to become poetical. Either way, Movie sports a better first half. However, the movie does have a really good plot with elements like mysticism, irony, philosophy, a plethora of emotions (mainly from the audience) and some steamy scenes ... If you are looking for a mass masala thriller, avoid it all costs.
Positives:
- The movie is centered around a relevant social issue, ie., good plot.
- The character played by Shyama Prasad (Psychologist)
- Murali Gopi. At times he is really good.
- Fahad Fazil
- Honey Rose
Negatives:
- The movie should be cut short to 1.30 hrs, ie., dragging
- Movie has a surreal quality. Unwarranted.
- Lip Lock ––It lacked emotion. When we compare it with Ramya's. However it is also a positive. Three main actresses have decided to do the lip lock scenes: Ramya, Bhavana and now Honey Rose.
- Murali Gopi. He is no Shobana. And over acting really tests our patience.
Rating: 1/2
Verdict: Kuzhiyilekku kaalum neetti irikkunna FK kilavansum kilavisum ee padam theerchayaayum kaananam. Papa mukthi nedi udalode swargathilottu promotion kittan chance undu ...
Note: This is an FDFS review. Since I was busy and santi already posted a review (read lazy ), I could only post it today.
