about Nanban, it's not a bad film and had its moments... pakshe all the good things about the film could be traced to its original... and there was absolutely no value addition. the film didn't deserve someone like Shankar at the helm.

A sequel to 'Endhiran' on the cards ?
    IndiaGlitz [Thursday, June 05, 2014]
It is well-known how big a hit, Rajinikanth and Shankar's
magnum opus Endhiran was. This film, which was made
on a huge budget, had set the cash registers ringing at the
    box-office.
Now the film circles are abuzz that Shankar and
Rajinikanth will team up once again for the sequel to this
film. There are also reports that Eros International, which
    produced Rajinikanth's recent release
'Kochadaiiyaan' ('Vikramasimha' in Telugu), has come
forward to produce this film, which will made on a very
huge budget of over 200 crores.

No official announcement about the project is made yet,
but it is said that Shankar is ready with the script of the
sequel film. Currently Shankar is busy with the work of 'Ai'
with Vikram and Rajinikanth's 'Lingaa' with K.S.Ravikumar
    is on the floors now.
Of late, there were also rumours that there will be a sequel
to 'Kochadaiiyaan', but it has been also not confirmed
    officially.

Endhiran 2 to cost Rs 200 crores?
    Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at 12:16 pm

Sources have reported that Rajinikanth is all set to
collaborate with the producers of Kochadaiiyaan, Eros
International, for yet another whopping big budget project
that is rumored to cost around Rs 200 crores!
And this mysterious project has another figure factoring into
the equation – a major one at that – and that is Shankar!
Combine all three facts and the recent rumors, what do you
    get? Endhiran 2!!
Yes, it was quite recently that reports of a sequel to the
super hit movie surfaced, but remained unsubstantiated by
anyone – but now it looks like the ‘stars’ are lining up
    (literally!).
Now, this huge amount is almost twice the production cost
of Kochadaiiyaan and it then should come as no surprise
that it won’t be just Eros putting their money on the line –
no.. a big Hollywood company is set to put their resources
in play as co- producers too. Which is that company? No
clue – but if true this would be an all new beginning for
    Indian cinema in many ways.
After all, Endhiran was not just a national hit but an
international one with production values of the flick
matching the best. It also gained Rajinikanth a level of
stardom even he hadn’t experienced before among the
    worldwide fans.
It isn’t just a coincidence that the actor’s new nickname
around the world became the Endhiran.
Now, let’s also not forget that Rajini and Shankar
collaborations have always been epic hits – not just
Endhiran but also Sivaji (2007). If things go as they
should, both the filmmaker and the superstar should be
working on this magnum opus of theirs right after Rajini is
done with Lingaa and Shankar has completed the Vikram
    starrer I.
