Reliance willing to fund 'Enthiran' sequel

Talks about the sequel to Super Star Rajinikanth's first sci-
fi entertainer 'Enthiran' directed by ace filmmaker Shankar
has been doing the rounds for long. This is mainly because
the 2010 blockbuster film was ended in a way that
suggests that a sequel is imminent.
A few weeks back there were news reports suggesting that
the Rajini and Shankar are likely to start working on
'Enthiran 2' once they are free from their current
commitments. Now the news has gained more credibility
with reports suggesting that Reliance network is highly
interested in funding the sequel to 'Enthiran' with Rajini
and Shankar. It is to be noted that Relaince is expected to
acquire Vikram-Amy Jackson starrer 'Ai' the film that is
currently being directed by Shankar.


It is also rumoured that Shankar visited 'Lingaa' sets in
Hyderabad to discuss about the project with Rajini.
Even if the idea pans out, we will have to wait until the
release of 'Ai' and Rajini finishes acting and dubbing for
'Lingaa' for 'Enthiran' sequel to take off.

Shankar meets Rajinikanth on Lingaa sets; Enthiran 2 on the anvil?

The grapevine in K’town is rife that Shankar is working on the sequel to the blockbuster hit Enthiran. Reliable sources reveal us that Shankar has met Rajinikanth on the sets of Lingaa in Hyderabad for initial discussion on the film. The buzz is Reliance Entertainment and Eros International are bargaining hard to produce the film. It is also being discussed in hushed whispers that Reliance Entertainment is also looking forward to purchase the distribution rights for Shankar and Vikram’s Ai which is currently in the post- production stage.
Eros International has more chances to helm the project since they have a good rapport with Rajinikanth. It is worth bringing to your attention that Eros was one of the first production houses to
back Endhiran before withdrawing from the project citing financial crunch. Or will Enthiran 2 be produced by Eros International and Reliance Entertainment together?

Shankar meets Rajini


The latest buzz in Kollywood is that director Shankar
had met Rajinikanth at the Lingaa sets in Hyderabad.
Superstar Rajinikanth is camping in Hyderabad where
the shooting of Lingaa is progressing.
Recently, director Shankar made it to the sets to meet
the film’s lead star. Though is not certain what
transpired during this meet, sources say that Shankar
could’ve been there for a story discussion with Rajini.
Looks like the Shankar-Rajini project is taking shape.

Rajini – Shankar project confirmed?


Sources are rife with the news that director Shankar’s
next will star Rajinikanth in the lead. Touted to be a
sequel for the smash hit Endhiran, this film is
expected to go on floors after Lingaa is wrapped up.
The director, according to sources, met Rajinikanth on
the sets of Lingaa in Hyderabad to discuss this project
recently. The buzz is that director Shankar has
estimated the budget to be Rs. 250 crores and
Reliance has agreed to finance it.
Yet another buzz doing rounds is that there would be
a character in this film which will be akin to the
popular Indian Thatha role in the movie Indian.

Well, the latest buzz in K-town is that Reliance is in talks
with Aascar Ravichandran to snap Ai distribution rights,
also they are showing interest to produce Endhiran-2 with Superstar Rajinikanth.
Also it is widely believed that Shankar has recently met
Superstar Rajinikanth at Lingaa sets in Hyderabad which in
turn confirms the above said buzz on Endhiran-2.
Just like any other Rajinikanth film, we have to wait till the
completion of Lingaa to know about Endhiran-2. Stay

Reliance distributes Ai, produces Enthiran 2


Buzz making vibes in Kollywood tinsel town that Reliance Entertainments is keen to snap the distribution rights of Vikram, Amy Jackson's Ai directed by Shankar.

At the same time it is also being reported that the producer is likely to produce Shankar's next Tamil film that is supposed to be Enthiran 2. Rumour-mills in the town says that Shankar has met Superstar Rajinikanth in Lingaa sets to discuss about the project.

Well there is no comment from the filmmakers office so far. If everything falls in the right place it will be a two-film deal for director Shankar with Reliance Entertainments. And viewers will most probably get to see Rajinikanth once again in dual roles.
