break even means the amount a film should colllect so that it becomes safe for the buyers..in this case ie 2.0 has been sold for 16cr in kerala..for the distributor who is gonna release the film in kerala..the movie should collect 40cr form kerala so that the distributor doesnt lose the money..anything below 40cr will result in loss for the distributor and above 40cr will give him profits..if it does collect only 40cr it means the distributor is neither at profit nor at loss
