Half-baked & Indolent !

Manglish is a lazily crafted entertainer which leans entirely upon the charisma of megastar Mammookka.It cannot be labelled a major disappointment as nothing much was expected from the movie before release.The movie starts off promisingly with an exciting introduction of the Megastar,but follows predictable lines from then.That's ok given its labelled as a festival entertainer,but a smooth cinematic experience is hindered by major hiccups in the screenplay.Manglish gives the feel of a roller coaster ride where the scene following a notable scene is invariably dull or rather harebrained.The absence of a solid antagonist for the Megastar is notable & makes fight sequences look silly on screen.Screenplay by debutant Riyaz failed to generate consistent momentum throughout the running time,the reason Manglish loses its steam half-way.The predictability & carelessness in the screenplay makes viewers lose interest in the proceedings after a point.Leaving aside all these factors,Manglish has some genuine performances from the Megastar,Tini Tom & few others.Caroline Bech looks beautiful & showcases her acting skills.The humor element could have been utilised properly as there was ample scope in the basic plot to be exploited.Overall,Manglish has nothing much to offer for the fans of the Megastar or normal audience & is at best a so-so affair for some interesting sequences.

Verdict::Manglish is a passable presentation for the initial hour,but proceeds predictably & ends abruptly without much to be proud of.The wait for a neat mass feast from the Megastar continues,hope Rajadhiraja can make it big! Godspeed
