Haunting & Hearty!

Rajeev Ravi is attempting to build a path for himself - The statement was clear by his first movie,Annayum Rasoolum.With this movie,he concreats it & presents a straigtht-forward story [written by director himself] in a refreshing & intriguing manner with notable support from a simple,but well-written screenplay by Rajesh Ravi,Santhosh Echikkanam & Geethu Mohandas.
Njan Steve Lopez is among those few films in the recent past which made me travel with the emotions of the character right from the word go till the end credits started to roll.Yes,Steve Lopez is not just a filmy character,but a reflection of ourselves,our thoughts,emotions & actions.
The narration of the film has a unique beauty & the slow pace of the narration looked fitting for the mood,unlike many other films in the recent past were slow-pace was a major issue of concern.
Casting is a major highlight of the movie & even though the only notable faces were Vinayagan & Anil Nedumangad,every one in the cast did their part adequately.Farhaan Fazil looked tailor-made for the title role & conveyed the emotions of the character convincingly.Ahaana Krishna too did her part well.Pappu's frames were refreshing & captured the essence of Trivandum city beautifully.
Overall,Njan Steve Lopez has its heart laid at the right place & is another realistic & gripping offering from Rajeev Ravi.

Verdict::Njan Steve Lopez is a realistic coming of age drama narrated refreshingly by director Rajeev Ravi.I recommend this movie to those who would like to taste something different,unlike the usual pot-boilers.
