Height Of Emptiness!

Munnaryippu was one project which I was eagerly waiting from the time it was announced.The promos looked promising & I was excited to know the real suspense behind the life of protagonist,CK.Raghavan.But Alas! Had to comeback disappointed witnessing yet another half-baked offering from my most-admired Megastar Mammookka.

The first half was really interesting & made a good buildup for the second half,with some brilliant one-liners & moments worth mentioning.Many dialogues in the first half were outstanding & presented impressively by the Megastar.A totally gratifying first half in all means.Never expected that the tables will turn upside down all of a sudden after the intermission.The second half was simply pointless & dragged painfully without much to present on screen.Still cant understand the need for all the buildup given all through the first half.The climax was even worse & predictable into the last 30 minutes which looked as if a forced resort to end the story in an unconventional manner.Frustratingly,the unconventionality looked altogether unconvincing because of the unimpressive narration & screenplay throughout the second half.I was waiting for Mammookka to disclose as it was presented on screen for some time.More than surprising or shocking,I will call the climax to be predictable or spoiled by unnecessary buildup.

Loopholes are aplenty & a potentially good idea was spoiled by the poorly written screenplay.

Mammookka was brilliant as C.K.Raghavan & gave a subdued performance as the role demanded.Aparna Gopinath too did her part well & has improved a lot form her previous films.Prithviraj's cameo had no importance in the storyline & could have been avoided.

The technical side of the movie was ok,but there isnt anything exceptional to point out as such.

Overall,Munnaryippu is a potential wasted for reasons unknown!

Verdict::Munnaryippu had good potential to be made into a really interesting movie,but ended as a half-baked,fruitless product.The interesting first half turned futile with the onset of second half & ended lame.Cant guarantee a satisfactory experience!

Ithil kooduthal alochikanulla climax onnumilla.. Palarum experimental,out of the box ennoke aanu parayunne.. idayk mammookka parayunna 2 dialogue mathi karyama manasilakan..pinneyum build up aanu suspense polikan till climax... but as expected the story ends predictably..I was waiting for half hour for mammookka to disclose as it was presented ...
