Theatre Status: Bal - 90%, FC - 80% .


With the fuzz and hype sorrounding the movie expected more crowd. But in EKM it is real tough to get people wake up early The theatre compound was full decorated with lot of flexes and it had a festive environment with fans and of course the celebrities - Vijay Babu, Sandra Thomas, Arun Vaidyanathan etc etc...


Now to the movie. The title cards of the movie has Lal's famous dialogues from old movies playing in the background. Approach taken by Thaadi Lal in 2 Harihar Nagar. Fans really enjoyed the same in Title Cards. But from that one thing was kind of clear - Maker's intention is to utilize the old image of Lal to the maximum. Anyway the movie starts of in America with Vijay Babu's character playing the Campaign Manager role for a candidate in California Governer elections. He is having tough time with the candidate riding really low in the election ratings and people support. The tempo of the movie is set when the candidate is shown playing the golf and when he tries to his the Golf Ball the Golf clubs slips of his hands and the ball is still where it was. So we now know what to expect from this movie - Buffoonery to the core. Now Vijay Babu in touble with this candidate's bleak chances of winning the elections, calls his relative Mukesh who is a Minister in Kerala. Then follows Mohanlal's Intro in Pappi Appacha style playing cricket. 8 runs needed from 1 ball for Mohanlal to win and how will he will follows the rest of the intro. An okay intro, nothing great. Then follows how Mohanlal saves Mukesh from Mullaperiyar issue with his cunning brains and finally lands in US to help Vijay Babu to make his candidate win the elections. There are lot of funny situations especially from Baburaj once they land in US. But it is all Slapstick and Buffoonery still makes you laugh most of the times. Also there are Annan's old movie songs coming and going which again adds entertainment to the 1st half. Overall a good entertaining first half which ends with small suspense on how to get the candidate out of a deep trouble he is in.


Second half starts with the operation to save the candidate out of this trouble. Koovaal vaangi koottaanulla scenes aanu kurachu nerathecku. Horrible with Superman, Avatar and other fancy dress items. Second half goes on and on and there is nothing much mentioning in the same. US Flag udutholla actions scenes okke pathetic thanne. We now start getting the feeling of why the movie is not getting over. The story goes into Candidate really coming up in the election ratings and to a state where he is going to win the election. There is a love track going in parallel and the heroine also gets into trouble. To help her Annan needs money and he does not get the same from where he expect. Avide ninnum Annanoru pani. Pinne pettennu avar thirichu naattilottu porunnu and then to Vijay Babu over phone he explains what he did in last 1 day to save his heroine out of trouble and how he gave maru pani to the pani he got. Aa operation okke, entammo sahickathilla.


Summary - A good entertaining first half and a horrible 2nd half. Annan's comedy was better than his recent outings still some times his face looks like he just come out of sleep. Not sure why.
