Not worth the expectations,but passable!

Peruchazhi was one movie which was expected to make big numbers at the box office considering the season it was releasing & the hype it generated because of excellent promotion strategies.Is it worth all the wait??,the answer will be no in the first place! So is it a bad movie then??,definitely no! Eventhough their isnt anything remarkable about this movie,its nonetheless a watchable festival entertainer with an energetic lalettan in the front.

The first half was above average & had some genuine sequences which can make everyone laugh & enjoy.Running around 90 minutes,the first half is quiet engaging & the charisma of lalettan makes it an enjoyable ride.In contrary,as it happened with numerous movies recently,the second half failed to carry the momentum it gained in the first half & was really dull comparing with the first.The climax too was not an exception. The directorial brilliance that Arun Vaidyanathan showed in Acchamundu Acchamundu was missing here.

There are a large number of sequences which defy logic & there are a good number of double intenders aimed at the youth intended to make laughs which is ok considering it as a festival entertainer.The satirical dialogues failed to make the expected impact on screen.Lalettan was vibrant with his vintage style mannerisms & anchored the movie at times it sank.It was really hearty to watch Lalettan enacting some of his hit song sequences on screen,but repeating the same could have been avoided.

One movie which I could relate with Peruchazhi considering the entertainment quotient will be Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nayarum,which also struggled to meet the expectations by the audience,but was a watchable movie in a whole.

Overall,Peruchazhi is a below average passable entertainer with Lalettan being a saving grace!

Verdict::If u ask a normal viewer after the show,the response is more likely to be "പോരാ "!! Yes,Indeed! Peruchazhi is not a well-executed entertainer as it was expected to be,but at the same time cannot be called a disappointment either.Had the second half been better,the movie could have been a more pleasant experience.As it is,I will label it as a watchable entertainer! Dont expect wonders or else you will be disappointed big time.Watch it at your own risk !!
