    Default Rajadhiraja: Well executed entertainer!!

    Rajadhiraja:The Magic of Make-Believe
    Theater:Luxe Cinemas,Chennai
    Show:9:20 PM
    Status:50-60 %
A good, clean festival entertainer with a tested formula and brilliant making which will attract fans and families to the cinema halls-That is Rajadhiraja.Serious movie lovers please avoid this one as it is made for the masses to provide instant entertainment.A nice blend of family, action and humor, this is surely a strong contender for the Onam winner spot.

Ajai Vasudev's making is top class and he manages to keep the viewer interested. The transformation scene of Raja shows that he is in complete control over the proceedings.Claps for that scene was damn high and they came from everywhere, including the families.Just like Anwar,he has the potential to create amazing movies if given a chance.

Mammookka portrays the two faces of the character brilliantly. His charisma is so overwhelming that an average viewer can't resist clapping when he transforms into Rajadhiraja. Thanks to some common sense from the makers,he is not forced to do low grade humor like in Pokiriraja or Kammath. He has enough fire left in his belly to rule Malayalam movies, both as an actor and a star.

Joju George as Swami Ayyappan is undoubtedly the show stealer of the first half till the interval scene.Uday-Siby team has given him a meaty character and he has made serious use of the opportunity. He,along with Nelson generates some good laughs throughout the first half and has done action convincingly. Most importantly,he shares a very good chemistry with the mega star.Surely, this is his career break role.

The whole cast has done a good job except the villains. It's not that the villains performed badly, but there was no scope in the script to perform.I believe that the villains should have been stronger-equal to the hero. That's what we see in yesteryear action classics like Dhruvam. This problem, along with the absence of some quality punch dialogues restricts it's entry into the big league(Dhruvam,Aaram Thampuran,Rajamanikyam etc).Songs are average but the picturization is rich and colourful.Shaji has done a commendable job in capturing the car chase scenes, the heli-cam shots being the best. The stunts may seem over the top for a few and that's where the make believe factor comes.Mammootty's star power and the technical side of the movie have been successful in this regard.

    Rating:3/5
    Verdict:Anything above hit...

P.S: For serious movie lovers,Munnariyippu is still running......

    thanks bhai..gud review....
Mammootty can be likened to the purest breed of Red Oak trees- he shall still stand upright, rooted in deep and exposing his ornamental bark in all its glory and charisma.
