"A Decent Blend Of Humor,Romance,Thrills & Sentiments With Ample Freshness"

Right from the time the first look posters were out,'The Dolphins' gave an impression that its going to be an out & out entertainer with mass masala ingredients.But,surprisingly,Diphan-Anoop Menon -Suresh Gopi team's offering is an altogether different movie,being an adequate mix of humor,family sentiments,romance & an investigative thriller.Eventhough the investigative part felt amateurish & half-baked,the movie scored in other areas & ended with a notable message.
First half of the movie was better in comparison with the second half with the flashback scenes & Sureshettan's witty dialogues being the focal points.The bottle sequence deserves a special mention & was shot exquisitely & presented beautifully with energetic background score.The climax,eventhough came out all of a sudden was hearty & puts forward a worthy message to the modern society.
On the negative side,the editing was mediocre with many scenes lacking continuity & cuts being rough particularly towards the latter portion of the second half.The antagonist & investigation portions were weak & lack-luster.
Suresh Gopi was really impressive with his Trivandrum slang & excelled with brilliant comic timing,dialogue delivery & expressions.The surpsise package of the lot was Kalpana playing the character of suresh gopis wife masterfully.Anoop Menon & Meghna Raj enacted characters within their comfort zone & were good.Among other supporting cast,Nandu,Joju George etc were perfectly cast.
The Background score play a major part in the narration & Gopi Sunder impresses yet again with a magical score that suits the narrative.The idea to use some melodious yesteryear songs throughout the narrative was really interesting.
Overall,The Dolphins is an above average entertainer worth the money & time spent for.
