100 Days Of Love NOT .....Review

Don’t go by the tittle . There isn’t anything romantic about this film . Actually love element is rather contrived , lame and meh at best .

Karan johar - yashraj cinemakalude staple diet ayirunna high class alukalude vanilla coated mushy candy floss romanceinte oru Malayalam version . Sort of movie where all are super rich leading expensive posh life style , have sandwich for break fast and bread toast for a dinner , go for cozy dinner date and wear the most updated wardrobe as if on a fashion roll plus relationships which have a formal touch ..Mush much …pretty much . Definitely its not your life and most assured that it isn’t either of the X,Y,Z around .

The film is engaging but quite inconsistently . There are loop holes and predictability factor spread all over.
So does the film work ..yes …in bits and parts with uneven pace but still manage to keep you hold till the end .

Breezy narrative is one factor which make the film tick. Jenus have infused light humor throughout which is such a relief as the dumb adventure the duo set for in the first half would have bored you to death otherwise . May be he was convinced that there ain’t much meat on the plate and needed some smoothies to stick on .Balan-ummar bonding may not be a scream but is fun though ..feel nice types .
Casting is bang on . Actually it majorly help as a cover up to loose ends . Menen girl is super gorgeous and fresh like a mint …somebody give her a award for best screen presence in the country now !! Aju in a cameo of sort is good and da thadiya hero have done very well.
But the life line of the film is the hero Dulqar salman who is like the Ranbir kapoor of bollyood ofcourse with much much lesser versatility .
He is super charming and one reason why you keep relying hope on the film (awful twin entry forgiven ). There isn’t much of act here as he is playing himself but the cool attitude he wears on the sleeve is a treat . And screen chemistry of DQ and Nithya is awesome .
Technically the film is superlative with mouth watering visuals . Everybody look good in the film and they live and work in good places . There is evidently a effort in making each frame aesthetically done and it work in favor of the film (art dept ..well done) . Cinematography is fantastic and BGM is decent . Being a love story there was good scope for music but barring beautifully captured “hridayathin niramayi”, there is nothing to take home .

Whenever the film take itself seriously you just want to say shut the heck up but to be fair this is a watchable fare . Don’t look for soul or whatsoever ….you might get disappointed . Otherwise 100 days of love could work as time pass popcorn film which wouldn’t harm you badly .
