went for the movie with mixed expectations after reading the reviews. still the movie disappoints. lot of half-baked characters for me has spoiled the movie to a big extent. the story revolves around missing gold which was smuggled along with a coffin. Andrea comes in search of her husband and mohanlal comes as driver raju. from the trailer itself, we know what was going to happen at the interval punch. Second half shows the struggle to get the lost gold and how our super hero escapes with it. biggest drawback of the film was its climax which was hard to digest.

PHANTOM review:

went for this movie with low expectations after reading reviews which were not great. but i found the movie interesting.

story:

the movie, based on the book. mumbai avengers is about RAW's secret mission to kill the masterminds of 26/11. the movie starts with incidents of 26/11. raw chooses saif ali khan who plays daniyal khan for this secret mission who was earlier thrown out of indian army. daniyal khan accepts it to get back his honour. he first moves to london to kill a terrorist. he is helped by nawaz, played by katrina. the mission moves then to chicago where he kills david headly. then it moves to beirut. where the war sequences were shot beautifully. finally to pakistan to kill the mastermind hamid.. rest of the story revovles on how they execute the plan and escape back to india.

positives:
all the killings were taken in style and in a detailed manner
the direction was top notch. kabir khan hats off
the movie never deviates from the main plot
good bgm

negatives:
saif ali khan and katrina was okay. not that good. their pair was also not great.
the ending.. some may like it. but i personally didnt.

rating: 3.5/5... kabir khan again impresses after bajrangi bhaiijaan.. top notch counter terrorism movie..
