Now the minimum theater ticket I have seen is 110.
Even in 2015, the ticket price was 100 which was ok because one could easily purchase ticket from counter without waiting for change. Slowly the state govt added some local tax. The new gst for 100 rs and above indirectly create high prices. I remember when gst came the theater owners themselves increased the price so that no one notices. If the theater charges are brought down, then people can make the effort to go to cinemas. But then online ticket charges are a big let off. This should be reduced to 10 rs.
Regarding point 2. It is time that Malayalam industry creates a proper release Calendar. All the associations like actors, producers, exhibitors, distributors etc should come together and decide.
Regarding point 3. I thought new filmmakers are very much exposed to cinema and its techniques. So they are well prepared. Moreover, it signifies that those who follow their passion are realizing their dreams. Also we have seen the fate of so called experienced directors in certain films.
So, kind of disagree with this point.
Regarding point 4. Yes. Some films have very wafer thin plot and for some adding time they add scenes which may not be necessary for the story. Eg. In jallikettu movie, sabumon character kuttan comes to village and then cuts the handle from bucket and then creates a small bullet. I think why so much time to show this scene.
Regarding point 5. I think post kumblangi nights which got higher recognition to indian audience after OTT release made the filmmakers to follow the realistic pattern cinema so that our industry is not looked down like telegu movie craps.
Regarding point 6. Totally agree. Everyone knows that Thuramukham is waiting for release but didn't seem to happen on the mentioned dates. In this case people are eagerly waiting but no promotion from makers side. And out of the nowhere comes mahaveeyar said to be released on July 21. And general public doesn't know.
Regarding point 7. Yes. Some thriller movies are not so engaging nowadays.
Regarding point 8. Although this keeps the movie in the news like what happened with marakkar, not an good way.
