Theatres rate kurakkan ready alla, avarude varumanathil oru kuravum undakan avar sammathikkilla, kuttam parachil mathram nadakkunnu.
Pinne avarkku kittunna amount athra valuthum alla.

eg:) Ticket we paid Rs. 140 [Gross]
CESS --> Rs. 5
GST @28% --> Rs. 30
Entertainment tax @10% --> Rs. 10
Nett : Rs. 95
Distributor @60% --> Rs. 57
Exhibitor @40% --> Rs. 38 (before income Tax)
Assuming 20% tax (across the year) --> Rs. 8
Final earning --> Rs. 30 on Rs. 140 ticket.

Anyway, Entertainment tax should be reduced by the govt.... !!! Theatrukar diatributersum producersum mathram alla... the people should also be protested against this.... !!!

As GST states on country one tax, then why the hell this Entertainment tax....

Entertainment tax oru local body tax aanu (State list in Schedule 7), athu GST-kku purame levy cheyyan local bodies-inu rights undu.
Ivide State government on behalf of local bodies aayi oru single percentage implement cheythu.

Technically Cochin Corporation could levy 30-40% Entertainment tax on movie tickets form Kochi Multiplexes as Entertainment tax.
