Aashiq Abu is back with his best work till date after the disastrous 'Gangster'. Rani Padmini is easily one of the finest films that have released in the year. Manju Warrier's best in her second innings and thus the superlatives never end for this gem.

For people who love cinema with all its' technicalities, this one is recommended as a must watch.Rima and Manju gel together so well that they create magic on screen.Cinematography is another highlight of the movie, well supported by Bijibal's music.

Some scenes are so good that you get goosebumps watching it, especially the scene where Rima and Manju fly on a parachute. That's when you truly feel the spirit of the movie "Varu, Pokaam, Parakkaam".

But again the audience have letdown such a genuine effort, which may become a reason for good directors to stick to tried and tested formulas and restrict themselves to what I call the 'Masala' genre.

Never even think of missing this one. Go and celebrate the spirit called womanhood.


Verdict : Average at the B.O., classic in our hearts.
