Prabhas' Saaho theatrical rights: Eros International offering bigger price than Baahubali 2?
The theatrical rights of Prabhas' movie Saaho are in great demand and Eros International is ready to offer Rs 400 crore, which is bigger than that of the distribution rights of Baahubali 2.
Eros International is reportedly offering Rs. 400 crore for the theatrical rights of Prabhas' upcoming movie Saaho and this price is bigger than that of the distribution rights of Baahubali 2 (Bahubali 2).
Baahubali 2, which features Prabhas in the lead role, has become a massive success with its collection crossing Rs. 1,600-crore mark at the worldwide box office. Its theatrical rights were sold for a record price of Rs. 350 crore and the movie has earned nearly Rs. 800 crore for its distributors so far. The film has grown the fan following of Prabhas multifold not just in India, but also in the international markets.
In addition, the makers of Saaho released its teaser with Baahubali 2 in theatres and this first look video has created lot of curiosity about the movie. The massive success of Baahubali 2 and hype generated by the teaser of Saaho are said to have made the leading distributors to start approaching the production house for the theatrical rights of Saaho, much before the movie hits the floor.If we are to go by the buzz in the social media, Eros International, one of the leading international distribution houses for Indian movies, is ready to shell out Rs. 400 crore on the global theatrical rights of Saaho. Saaho is made in Telugu and Hindi and will also be dubbed in Tamil and Malayalam. Prabhas, who is currently on US tour, will start shooting from the first week of July and he has decided to better his Hindi speaking skills. Shruthi HDL tweeted: "#Prabhas is plan㏌g To hire a H㏌di tutor so that he can work on gett㏌g his H㏌di language better, will do before he promot㏌g his Film #Saaho."
Saaho is an action thriller film, which is written and directed by Sujeeth and produced by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod under the banner UV Creations. Prabhas will play the lead role in the film, while the makers are yet to make an official announcement about the heroine and other cast and crew.

T-Series has picked up the theatrical rights for North India of the Prabhas-starrer*Saaho, a press release announced. The*Baahubali*star headlines the action movie, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunky Pandey. Written and directed by Telugu director Sujeeth,*Saaho*is being made simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
?Bollywood producer Bhushan Kumar has now joined hands with UV Creations, one of the leading and most successful production houses in the south to present the film in Northern markets of India,? the press release said. The movie is targetting a 2019 release.
The makers are promising an ?ultramodern action flick?. The press release stated, ?The film is being filmed at striking locations in, around and outside the country...The expert team of director of photography Madhie, versatile editor Sreekar Prasad and production designer Sabu Cyril are brought together to do a spectacular job with the film.?
T-Series head Bhushan Kumar said, ?The universality of*Saaho*is what appealed to me as a film maker. While Prabhas is a pan India star, the content and its treatment will make for a film having a global appeal. It is an exciting collaboration and we are looking forward to present the film to our Hindi audience.?
