What i like about telugu films is that they make unapologetic entertainers and make no bones in squeezing the same format repeatedly. As long as the goods are delivered which in this case is unabashed entertainment there isn't anything to crib either. Tholi prema follows the regular template of a telugu love story which means not to dig deeply into logic and realism.

So the boy meet girl, falls in love , break up , meet again and followed by ego tussles we have a happy ending. There isn't anything out of the box about this film but the way the director have packaged it makes it a much enjoyable breezy fun romantic comedy with no dull moments.

The first half moves at a lightening speed with the right mix of romance , humor and all other commercial ingredients with a nice interval punch in tow. Relatively the second half is uneven and at times lacks steam but maintains overall mojo nevertheless.

Clearly when substantial writing isn't the key fort of a love story lots depends on the lead pair.
Thankfully Varun Tej and Raashi Khanna shares a delightfully warm on screen chemistry and stand out individually too. The tall handsome hunk that he is Varun is also a fine actor but his uber stylish appearance in the film risk to overshadow his craft. Raashi is the surprise package. She look like a doll and especially in the first segment she is unrealistically cute and is strikingly similar to Katrina Kaif. The girl can act as well and have given a neat performance in a author backed role.

The humor supplied by a bunch supporting actors as friends of leads works and there are many funny sequences that will leave you in split.

Music by Thaman is a major asset and the album have enough catchy numbers . I have to say how the telugu cinema utilize songs smartly as a commercial tool. Each and every song in the film have distinctive choreography and styling .

Technically the film is a superior product than Bollywood with super rich production values and slick cinematography.
All said and done the film belongs to director Venky who have smartly packed it with all the commercial props.

Overall Tholi Prema is a fun breezy romantic entertainer and is a enjoyable ride .

Omar Saeed Shaikh is a deadly terrorist who is currently in Pakistan jail facing death sentence.
He came under media glare after failed kidnapping attempt of four foreigners in New delhi in the early 90ies followed by which he was nabbed by Indian police, only to be released along with two other dangerous terrorists after the Kandahaar hijack crisis .

Omerta is a biographical presentation of this terrorist.
Going in detail of his operations in Delhi, role played in much publicized beheading of a wall street journalist (for which he was eventually convicted) in early 2000s and the links to 9/11 WTC attack and Mumbai attack , Omerta offers a gritty narrative of Omar and his presence during these episodes. Also the film sheds some light on his growing up days in London and those days in terror camps of Afganistan.

A biography that is sharp , to the point and engaging.
Rajkumar Rao in the tittle role is spectacular and is the strongest winning point of the film.

Now the thing with Omerta is that we are not unfamiliar with the trajectory of modern day terrorists . In this case a south hall bred , well educated young chap from a good family is influenced by Islamist fundamentalists and choose Jihad as the deed of his life. A story that we have read and seen in print and visual media much often and not to forget quite a few cinemas as well. So there isn't anything that could be called a revelation.

Brownie points for background score and cinematography for keeping it real and gripping . No cinematic gimmicks there. Also the edits have helped to keep the film crisp.

Overall Omerta is a sincere biography that keeps it real devoid any cinematic gloss and is worth a watch.
