കഥാനായകന് മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ താരാധിപത്യത്തെയും നായക - നായിക സങ്കൽപ്പങ്ങളെയും കളിയാക്കാം ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാം.... എന്നാൽ "പുതിയ നിയമം" മലയാള സിനിമ ആയതു കൊണ്ടും, സംവിധായകൻ ആഷിഖ് അബു അല്ലാത്തതു കൊണ്ടും,നായകൻ Mega star mammooka ആയതു കൊണ്ടും, കരയാൻ മാത്രമെ ഇന്നും സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് കഴിയു അതിനപ്പുറം എന്തിനും പുരുഷന്റെ സഹായം കൂടിയെ തീരു എന്നും ഊന്നി പറയുന്ന ശരാശരിയിലും താഴെ നിൽക്കുന്ന സിനിമയാണ് പുതിയ നിയമം .....

സംവിധായകനു തന്റെ അഭിപ്രായ പ്രകടനം നടത്താനായ് മാത്രം എഴുതപ്പെട്ട കഥാപാത്രമായിരുന്നു ലൂയിസ് പോത്തനെങ്കിൽ ആ കഥാപാത്രം ചെയ്യാൻ നമ്മുടെ നായകൻമാർ ഒരിക്കലും തയ്യാറാവില്ല എന്ന സത്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ അധികം ബുദ്ധിയൊന്നും വേണ്ട... സിനിമയുടെ ആദ്യ ഭാഗത്ത് തന്നെ സ്വന്തം മകളെ കൊഞ്ചിക്കുന്ന ഒരാളോട് ഇങ്ങനെ ദേഷ്യപ്പെടണമെങ്കിൽ നായിക കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ ഫ്ളാഷ് ബാക്ക് എന്തായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ചിന്തിക്കാൻ പോലും സമയമെടുക്കാതെ പറയാനാവും ....മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ ഈയടുത്ത് കണ്ടു തുടങ്ങിയ ഒരു രോഗമാണ് പോലീസ് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ സ്ത്രീകളെ കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യിക്കുക എന്നത്.. സന്തോഷം സമാധാനം സ്ത്രീ ശാക്തീകരണം ആശാ ശരത്തിനും നദിയാ മൊയ്തു വിനും കഞ്ഞി കുടിക്കാം... മേൽപ്പറഞ്ഞ 3 പ്രതിഭാസങ്ങളും മമ്മുക്കയക് ഒന്നു വീതം മൂന്ന് നേരം നയൻ താരയുടെ സ്ഥായി ഭാവത്തിന് ഒന്ന് എന്ന കണക്ക് ഗോപീ സുന്ദർ ഇട്ട് വെറുപ്പിച്ച BGMമും മാത്രമാണ് സിനിമയുടെ 80 % എന്നത് സഹിക്കെടുത്തി..

കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ കഥാ വഴിയിലും വൈകാരികമായും ഒരു ചുവട് മുന്നോട്ട് വെക്കാൻ അവസാന 15 മിനുറ്റ് വരെ കാത്തിരിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ആരേലും നന്നായി അഭിനയിച്ചോ എന്നും സംശയമാണ്... മമ്മുക്കയുടെ Oneliners നന്നായിട്ടുണ്ട്... ഷീലു അഭിനയം നിർത്തുമോ ഇല്ലയോ?

മലയാള സിനിമ 180 ഡിഗ്രി മാറി കാണണമെന്നൊന്നും ഞാൻ വാശി പിടിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നാലും ഇങ്ങനെ കഥ പറച്ചിലിൽ തന്നെ മുഷിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സിനിമകൾ ഉണ്ടാവാതിരിക്കട്ടെ

There is a difference between lal fans and mammootty fans.for drisyam mammootty fans wrote glowing reviews. but when it come to mammootty movies they never write anything good about mam movies. like maneesh nte copy adikkunnau, these are not fans just haters of mammootty films they do not want to see mammootty movies to write a review. thanks jason, olla jyothi kalayathe nokkane, review kanditu ninnil yathoru jyothi yum ollathayi thonniyilla
