Default Mahesh'inte Prathekaaram: Absolutely Brilliant......a late review

Just came back from a thoroughly enjoyable movie......

    Venue: Cineworld, Queens Links, Aberdeen
    Show: 7thMarch, 20:40
    Turnout: 80-85%

Brilliant movies one after the other, cant remember the last time Malayalam industry has such a phase with brilliant releases at such regular intervals. 2015 was a good year and now 2016 the first movie we saw was Charlie and now MP. Great start to the year.

    Cast:

    Fahad:
Kalakki Mahesh'ee!! Our industry always had brilliant actors who portrayed the common man better than in any other Indian language perhaps. Sreenivasan, Dileep, of late Jayasuriya and now Fahad joins the ranks. A controlled, highly convincing and sincere performance by an impressive actor. I rate him highly despite the recent string of so-so releases, but he's back where he belongs, among the top rung of lead actors in Malayalam. Hoping to see more quality releases from this fine actor.

Soubin: He made us laugh from the moment he appeared on screen. Great body language and comic timing. He is going places and expect to see him on a regular basis in future releases.

    Aparna:
Performed splendidly in a well cast role. She portrayed the energy and innocence asked of the role very well.

Alancier: Reminded me of the sort of characters Oduvil used to play. We always had a rich tradition of brilliant supporting actors, Alancier is another one such actor who has made his mark.

Plenty of special mentions in a movie that was very well cast and all the actors did justice to their roles.

Direction: An A1 job! Hats off to Dileesh. Superb story telling skills, excellent sense of comedy, a very intelligent director who treats his audience the same. The future crop of directors should understand that comedy does not need to be dumbed down stupidity! He captured the small moments brilliantly, simple gestures with the casts eyes, head movements ....Splendid.

    Camera:
Made one fall in love with the place.

    Music:
The Idukki song was on repeat mode in my playlist already. Good songs and a nice background score.

Verdict: 4/5, A simple, well made, must-watch entertainer!
