Reel pair Prabhas and Anushka has good relation in real life also. The duo worked for few movies in Telugu. Beautiful actress Anushka Shetty, who has become the first choice for lady oriented movies, has reportedly given green signal to act in another historical film ‘Bhagmati’.
The shooting of this film is expected to start once Anushka is free of ‘Baahubali 2’. As per sources, Anushka first rejected the script narrated by director Ashok then why did she accept later?
Sources added that Prabhas has played the key role in convincing Anushka for this film. The film is produced by UV Creations makers Vamsi and Pramod, the close friends of Prabhas.
When they expressed the idea of ‘Bhagmati’ in front of Prabhas, the macho actor immediately convinced Anushka to accept the role, thus making her act in another historical film.
Remember Jayaram, who entertained audiences with his superb performance in Kamal Haasan’s Panchatantram, Tenali, Uttama Villain and Vijay’s Thuppakki. This actor will now be acting in Anushka starrer Bhagmati.
Bhagmati was launched in small ceremony. Ashok who shot to fame with the film Pilla Zamindar will be directing this film. UV Creations is producing this movie. This film is right now in the pre-production stage. As Anushka is busy shooting for Baahubali currently, it will be sometime before she is actually free to join the shoot of this film.
Post Baahubali 2, Anushka will be focusing completely on Bhagamati. This film is about the romance between Muslim ruler Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth sultan of the erstwhile Qutb Shahi dynasty and his dancer Bhagmati.

Right now, Anushka Shetty is quite happy, thanks to the success of Baahubali and Rudramadevi.
Talk is that Anushka is preparing for another historical role. And if everything goes as per plan, she will be playing the role of Bhagmati, the courtesan-lover of Hyderabad's ruler who built Hyderabad.
Though Anushka was offered the role in the past, she was not very keen on doing it. But following the success of Baahubali, Anushka has given her nod to the project.
Also, her Baabubali co-star Prabhas is said to have convinced Anushka to change her mind.
Prabhas's friends Pramod and Vamsi who own UV Creations have come forward to produce this film and it will be directed by Ashok Kumar.
Talk is that Anushka was not too sure about Ashok Kumar's directorial abilities, but Prabhas is said to have convinced her that the production house will take care of it. After having gained confidence from Prabhas, Anushka is now taking up this role.
The film will formally be launched next year. Legend has it that Quli Qutb Shah, the emperor of Deccan built Hyderabad city for Bhagmati which is why it is also called Bhagyanagaram.
