Spanish radio station Cadena COPE reported yesterday that Manchester City is working 'quietly' on signing Lionel Messi believing they can exploit Barcelona's financial situation. Other reasons being, Lionel Messi seems to be offended by Barcelona's non-support during tax case; and that he wants his children to speak proper English. They also reported that Pep Guardiola had told Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain to convince Lionel Messi to join City.
