KASABA ~ REAL CINEMAS REVIEW ~ One man show all the way & a missed bus for Nithin !

EXPECTATIONS

Expectations were very high for KASABA before release and post release my expectations went down a bit due to mixed word of mouth.The pre-release hype, a few associations with KASABA team, their energy etc made me decide to watch KASABA in theaters.

CROWD

HOUSEFULL ! Full of families and many returning without tickets.

DIRECTION -

I would say, KASABA is a missed bus for Nithin Renji Panicker as he has not made use of such a great actor's caliber, let it be in script or direction. Many scenes looks jaded and reminds of many old movies. He should have worked more on the script than concentrating on bringing in "A" numbers here and there for claps.

MUSIC, CAMERA, EDITING

The film does not demand any music and the only song in the movie does not impress at all.

Back ground music is fine and suits the movie.

Camera work is nothing extra ordinary and just proceeds on normal mode through out the film.

Editing was not upto the mark as 4 - 5 scenes were poorly edited which affected the pace of the movie.

PERFORMANCES

MAMMOOTY SIR - His energy at 65 and his Charisma was the only saving grace of the movie.

SAMPATH - As always, a seasoned performer. Good

VARALAKSHMI - Apt choice for the role and did well.

CROWD RESPONSE & VERDICT

Strictly a fan's movie and enjoyable at parts. I saw many hard core enjoying and laughing their heart out at all the " A " numbers.

Theater was full of families and I felt they were not so happy with the proceedings. My family was not and I am dissapointed.

2.5 / 5 - Average

The rating is for Mammooty sir and for an energetic team including the producer who has played a key role in such a heavy start at box office.

I had predicted collections of Bhaskar The Rascal based on pre-release hype, but KASABA does not deserve such a huge success.

Is already declared a hit, a safe bet and collections should be going down after the opening weekend.
