Confirmed: Dhanush's Kodi to hit the screens this Diwali
Actor Dhanush's political satire film Kodi has its release date locked, will hit the screens on Diwali this year.
Actor Dhanush, who is presently shooting for his much-hyped trilogy Vada Chennai, has a plethora of movies lined up for release.
While his Thodari is finally releasing on September 2, Dhanush's much-delayed project has its released date locked and will release on Diwali this year.

Kodi, directed by R.S.Durai Senthilkumar, features Dhanush playing dual roles and also has Trisha said to be playing a negative shaded role for the first time.
The film has been in its post production stage for quite a long time and now it looks like it will see the limelight finally. As suggested by reports Kodi will be releasing this Diwali! The actor himself took to Twitter to confirm this news.

Dhanush is playing dual roles reportedly of a father and son for the first time in his career in ‘Kodi’ directed by Durai Senthilkumar and he has confirmed via Twitter that the film will release on Diwali this year which would probably be on the 28th of October as the festival is on Sunday the 30th.
Trisha and ‘Premam’ heroine Anupama Parameshwaran play the love interests for Dhanush in Kodi, produced by Wunderbar Films. Santhosh Narayanan scores the music, Venkatesh handles the camera and Praveen K.L. the cuts. The film is expected to lock horns with Karthi’s ‘Kashmora’ which has also locked the same auspicious date.
