Some time back, we had reported that Suriya will be working with young Tamil director Vignesh Shivan for his next. Latest update reveals that the film has been titled as Thaanaa Serndha Koottam.
The shooting of this film will kick start on the 15th of October in Chennai. Anirudh Ravi Chander composes music for this film which will showcase Suriya in a different role altogether.

Actor Suriya's 35th film to be directed by Vignesh Sivan has been titled as 'Thaanaa Serndha Koottam' (தானா சேர்ந்த கூட்டம்). Suriya who will be acting in the lead role apart from producing the film under his 2D Entertainments banner has just announced the title in his official Twitter handle.The title follows the trend of taking the titles or dialogues of Superstar Rajinikanth film. This title follows a famous mass dialogue uttered by Rajinikanth in his 1999 blockbuster 'Padayappa'.The film will have the musical score of Anirudh Ravichander. K.S.Ravikumar and Saranya Ponvannan have been roped into play supporting roles. The female lead is yet to be confirmed.'Thaanaa Serndha Koottam' will be produced by Suriya along with K.E.Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Entertainment banner. The shooting is expected to commence after Suriya finishes work on 'S3' directed by Hari.

Rajini's punch dialogue is Suriya's film title
Actor Suriya has revealed the title of his forthcoming film, to be directed by Vignesh Sivan of 'Nanum Rowdy Thaan' fame. And buzz is that it is inspired by Rajinikanth’s famous dialogue in one of his yesteryear film.The film will be called 'Thaanaa Serndha Koottam', tweeted Suriya on Wednesday. Remember Rajinikanth uttered the dialogue in 1995 hit 'Baasha'.According to reports, Suriya was mighty impressed with Vignesh Shivan’s script and choose the latter to direct him over many other filmmakers.'Thaanaa Serndha Koottam' will have music from Anirudh Ravichander, who had also worked with Vignesh in his debut movie.Happy to join hands for the first time with @suriya_offl sir and once again with my fav @vigneshShivN after #NRD #Suriya35 Love, Anirudh.
