Aamir Khan has become a huge superstar in China. After the super success of PK, Dangal and Secret Superstar, Aamir commands a fantastic fan following in the country. And to take advantage of his popularity and the fact that each of his films does tremendous business at the China box office, the makers of Aamir Khan?s Thugs Of Hindostan want to release the movie in India and China simultaneously on November 7, 2018. No, we aren?t kidding! In fact, according to a report in Mid-day, the makers are also chalking up an extravagant promotional stratergy with Aamir, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
From what we hear, all the stars will go on a promotional tour for a week or so and they might even unveil a song in China. A source even revealed to the tabloid, ?The producers are in the process of formulating special promotional plans for the movie. Aamir is apparently keen to travel to China for a week or so, and headline a few events so that he can generate buzz about the film among the audience. He is likely to unveil a song in one of the promotional events in the country.?
To avoid piracy and to maximise their box office collections, the Thugs of Hindostan makers plan to have a day and date release in China. As the source further added, ?Aamir?s Chinese fans keep tracking his films and download them as soon as they release in India. Since piracy hampers the box-office figures, the producers have decided to release Thugs Of Hindostan simultaneously. With a projected gross box office collection of Rs 500 ? 600 crore in India and Rs 1000 crore in China, will Thugs of Hindostan become the first Rs 2000 crore Indian film? Well, we will have to wait and watch!
