For some other english movies like mission impossible they may prefer MOT. So yes city theatres have competition now which is good for fans.
Dhanya Remya il ini english movies affect cheyarkyum. Kripa is still good.

Ultimately these are all facilitating to additinal dimensions ..not anything like old film based sound reproduction systems (dolby digital ,dts)....As digital cinemas came into existence,th these brands lost their monopoly in sound system domain as digital c8nema has uncompressed lpcm sound..now they jumped into producing sound processorsbfor digital cinema to have multi dimensional tracks... Thus came auro 3D from barco (dts also co operating for this ), atmos from dolby, dts X from dts (not in india yet )... Briefly sound quality same..depends on how the theater use it...but channels have increased .. In my opinion not all movies really requires these additional facilities.. Normal 5.1 is adequate for a nirmal malayalam film...

Now most of malayalam film are mixed in dolby atmos. Even though it is not required for all. Eg Munthrivalkal was dolby atmos. But does it actually require. Ezra was dolby atmos and it was ok.
