Bad Education (2019)

Based on the largest public-school embezzlement scandal in American History, Bad Education is a slick, engrossing drama. Bolstered by strong performances, especially from a hugely charismatic and mercurial Hugh Jackman, and surehanded direction, this one is an absolutely compelling cinematic experience.

Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

Considered by many to be the pinnacle film in the cannibal genre....it's more realistic and darker in tone than Eaten Alive....if Eaten Alive is a priyadarshan film, this is more like a mani ratnam film....the director of the film was arrested for murder because he filmed some of the death scenes so realistically.

the film has some beautiful moments...

pakshe prashnam entha ennu vetcha 70ies release aya dustin hoffman-meryl streep starrer kramer vs kramer enna cinemayude ethandu replica annu ethu...subject wise .( Kramer later had a hindi remake with Aamir khan-manisha starrer akele hum akele tum)....strangely the lead characters of marriage story is strikingly similar to the hindi version and not the orginal english version ) ...while aamir is a musician and his wife manisha, an aspiring singer who later becomes an actor in akele hum , here husband is a director and his wife an actress.

athu pole ethile oru highlight scene ennu parayavunna husband -wife confrontation looked like a xerox copy of leo-kate winslet scene from revolutionary road ...

SERGIO. Real-life story of UN diplomat Sergio de Mello who worked tirelessly for bringing peace in regions that endure armed conflicts. At one time, he was expected to be the next Secretary-General after Kofi Annan. The movie takes a non-linear narrative. Though he was involved in almost all war zones around the world from the 70's, the movie focuses on three of them - his time in Cambodia dealing with refugees thereby becoming the first and only UN rep to have had talks with Khmer Rouge, his time at East Timor when he arranged for its independence from occupation and mass-murdering by Indonesia, and finally his time at Iraq after the death of Saddam Hussein following the US invasion. Sergio was selected by Bush and Rice who pressured Kofi Annan to send him to Iraq. The intention of US was to hold elections the way they wanted. Sergio lands in Iraq and is disturbed by the atrocities of the US soldiers on Iraq, at a time when UN was said to be run by the US, Sergio meets the Ayatollah and decides to conduct fair elections, only to be later bombed by al-Qaeda. The movie had all the elements to be a Schindler's List or Hotel Rwanda but falls miserably in failing to get the emotions right. Wagner Moura was terrific as the Left leaning Sergio but the narrative and structure of the movie was in shambles.
