Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023)

A slick, fast-paced romp for die-hard Guy Ritchie fans.

Operation Fortune is more of a battle of wits than full wham-bam-action, boasting fun performances by the ensemble cast, especially, Jason Statham & Hugh Grant. There's a flair and sure-handedness here that will please Ritchie's fans, even if it feels like he's preaching to the converted.

The making, writing and performances in Korean movies just dig deep into you. What am liking about them is that they do not underestimate the audience. There are lot for you to analyse, interpret , process and then understand.

Checked the indian version featuring Randeep hooda after watching this to see how we did and oh boy...The finale portions of the film showed the stark difference in the sensibilities of indian movie makers and koreans .

God's Crooked Lines (Spanish | Netflix | 2022)

A twisted psychological thriller that leaves you guessing until the very end.

Much will be made of the movie's shocking ending, but a second viewing will reveal its carefully constructed plot, intentional continuity errors and smart visual gimmicks that foreshadow the ending. It may not rank among Oriol Paulo's best work, but God's Crooked Lines is a supremely well-crafted thriller.

A History of violence :

Recent leo promo made me rewatch this crime movie.

This movie has a usual cliche plot of a common man with a dark gangster past. We have seen this in hundreds of other crime movies.

But lead Viggo Mortensen is great as usual.. Can give it a watch for his performance.
