    The Gift

Right from the very beginning,The Gift keeps you immensely intrigued.A rather ordinary plot has been narrated well enough by Joel Edgerton, and a reasonably surprising finale makes it an interesting watch. Both Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall were impressive, while Joel Edgerton with a limited screen time makes his presence felt through a solid performance. In short,The Gift is an engaging flick.

    High Tension (French)

A brilliant plot twist can often take one film a notch up,whereas High Tension's outrageous culmination kind of ruins the entire cinema.High Tension has every requisite feature needed for a slasher film, however a highly flawed theme spoils the fun.To sum it up,High Tension is an epic disappointment.

    Lost in Translation

Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson in a romantic drama helmed by Sofia Coppola, this truly is one gem of a cinema.A refined and melancholic portrayal of quite an intense theme, engrossing performances, and subtle humor - Lost in Translation basically has everything to make you fall in love with this film.

There are good romantic dramas, there are great romantic dramas, and then there Lost in Translation

    Seven Pounds

Inspiring and emotionally rewarding,Seven Pounds is the kind of film which will be liked by all irrespective of its shortcomings. Will Smith's yet another magnificent performance is indeed the best thing about this cinema, and director Gabriele Muccino has neatly exploited Smith's prowess in performing emotional sequences.Seven Pounds may not be a great piece of work, nevertheless it has its heart at the right place which in turn makes this an absorbing experience.

    A Quiet Place

While a notable share of the so called horror thrillers are nothing more than trifling jump-scares, A Quite Place with its novel premise and absolutely gripping narrative turns out be a befitting cinema in the horror genre. The basic concept is simple, the use of sound is very minimal, and there are no visual gimmicks, however the brilliant execution and great performances excels it to soaring heights.Literally,A Quiet Place is the most intense and compelling thriller in recent times.

Director John Krasinski is a rising talent

    Game Night

An outrageous premise and an equally outrageous narrative, comprising of some rollicking performances and genuinely hilarious sequences, Game Night is a ridiculously entertaining comedy caper.
