Fear (1946) - superb noir film with a superb twist....it's a simple twist but you will never expect it in this movie....almost felt like giving 5/5 for this movie....but it is categorized as a b-grade movie by most film critics...probably due to low-budget and unfamous cast.

movie is available on tubi: https://www.justwatch.com/in/movie/fear

there is a coincidence as to how i came across this movie....few days ago i happened to watch an episode of charithram enniloode of gayathri ashok....in that he talks about a short film called "incidence at owl creek bridge"....it is based on a 19th century short story....i watched that short film....then today i watched this movie...the twist is also there in that short film.

    The IRISHMAN:

A reverse GODFATHER narrative, we could say.
A henchman or accomplice talking about his life with his Godfather, in fact a couple of godfathers.
Slow narrative, lengthy scenes, too detailed, much like the 60s or 70s Italian Mafia movies.
Three time periods were interleaved in the narration, which makes viewers confused initially.
The main attraction for me, leaving the cast, are the dialogues.
A very particular style of conversations between the lead three, maybe typical of the 60s period.
Al Pacino dialogues were the best, though unable to comprehend the meaning of some dialogues directly.
We should think and understand what exactly the three are conveying.
The ending was more academic than dramatic.

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood:

    Oru thalayum vaalum illatha padam.
Tarantino annan enthanu parayan sramichathu ennu vyaktham alla.
White supremacy aanennu thonnunnu - That White's are great and Asians, Mexicans, Red Indians all are inferior losers.
De Caprio adyam bore arunnu, idakku kure bhagam oru character aayi kidu performance thannu.
Pitt annan ee padam enthinu cheythennu pidiyilla, oru mathiri side-kick role.
    Mothathil oru cheriya ganja padam.

    Disclosure:
    Good to brilliant overall.
Could divide the film into three parts.
A (reverse) sexual assault, fight for justice, fight for survival and career.
Though the film (novel) is famous for the first part, the film impresses in the second and third parts.
Well written script and good bold performances.

'NO means NO' comes from this one, which PINK adopted.
Interestingly, it was not a girl who first said 'NO'.
