Ore Mugham Review - A Good Climax letdown by weak making

Ore mugham had some expectations mainly due to the title and the 80's background.

the movie has similarities from the Padmarajan-Joshy classic " Oru Thanutha velupan kalathu ". a college rivalry, revenge after many years etc. the movie seemed to inspire from the same basic plot but the movie has a good climax. The problem though is that up to the last 10 minutes, it was a big letdown.

The movie starts off with murder of NRI businessman Aravindan, Cheman vinod handles the investigation. parallely, journalist played by jewel mary does a feature for the same. It all leads to linkage to estate murder case in the 80's and the missing of lead charcter zachariah potten since then.

The story then moves to flashback mode with the campus story of the 80's of zachariah potten and friends.

Positives:

Climax.. unexpected and a good twist in the end

negatives:
weak making.. poor direction..
lagging and slow paced till the last 10 minutes. By the time climax comes, we have been tired with the proceedings
Continuity missing in most sequences
Lot of characters but no character is properly developed even the lead roles
dhyan could not handle such a heavy character.. he should focus on direction.. may be..

overall. a weak attempt just that climax saved it from being a disaster

rating: 2/5... ( only because of the climax..)
