It says the lifestory of former national wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his champion daughters,Geeta and Babita,their dreams,hopes and travails.Like Aamir's earlier milestone films, it shows us what should be made into meaningful commerical cinema and how they should be made..As in the famed tale of Hamelin's pied piper,every aspect of the film follows Aamir's penchant for perfection and his passion,commitment and hardwork...be it the able direction by Nitesh Tiwari; excellent supporting cast with notable performances from the new bunch of talent,Fatima Sana Shaikh,Sanya Malhotra,Sakshi Tanwar, Zaira Wasim & Suhani Bhatnagar (superb and adorable in the childhood roles),not to mention the riveting background music and songs....
"Are our girls are inferior to boys?" ,asks the tagline of the film...This little gem of a movie tells a brave and big NO as its own answer and without preachiness, presents an ode to the Indian girlchild....
Watch it for HER, and for Aamir who delivers his best and poignant performance in his highly illustrious career...
