Kaththi Sandai - Review..!!

Inox, Brookefield, Status - 20-30 pax..

You don't expect an intelligent movie from the director who made movies like Alex Pandian, Sakalakala Vallavan etc. Kaththi Sandai is yet another logic less masala from director Suraj. The story wanders with some random comedy, songs, action till the last 20 mins where a done to death flashback is revealed and Vishal mouths some political punchlines to end the movie.


The movie was promoted as the comeback of Vadivelu, but sadly it falls flat and he only appears in the 2nd half. Though he still has his trademark mannerism, the comedy sequences are silly and as usual gets beaten up by Vishal & others in the name of comedy. Comic portions in the first half is handled by Soori and he also gets beaten up in the name of comedy. Comparatively Soori was little better than Vadivelu.

First half is better when compared to the yawn inducing long drawn 2nd half..


Vishal does the usual action, dance, etc. Tamanna as the glamorous heroine who is there just for the song sequences. Villains Jagapathi Babu, Jayaprakash doesn't make an impact.


Out of the songs only Naan koncham karuppu tha is hummable.


Overall routine masala movie.. below average Rating 1.5/5
