Puthan Panam - An excellent entertainer!!

Status: 60% i guess

As a fan of Ranjith's previous works with Mammootty, I decided to go for FDFS.. and its after a long time, i am going on the first day for a Big M movie.. And I was not disappointed.. Even though its not Renjith's top class work, it excelled in own unique way.. which is the "Kasargod" slang... As like i was smelling when I watched the trailer, the demonetization is just a shadow.. The story revolves around in a different way!!

I am not going to spoil the mood with the story.. But its a fun packed entertainer revolves around Nithyananda Shenoi.. Renjith did pack it in a very pleasing way for the families too.. lot of comedies (specially when they speak in that language) worked out really well.. its thrilling.. it has a good story thread.. it connected the events well.. and it has some mass too!! The final fights and some classic dialogues are Renjith's own style!!

The films lags a bit in the second half.. similar situations came in prachiettan also before.. Could have been avoided to keep the momentum.. felt like thats the only negative which stops us away from completely enjoying it.. The climax was, in fact, the most abrupt in terms of what a person shenoy is.. A negetive shaded hero.. I was feeling how Renjith is gonna end this movie 😊 .. But he did it very interestingly.. Like Hero, Like a Boss!!

Excellent casting in the recent mammootty films.. Mamukoya was classic and brought the old memories back.. every other actors did their part well..

I cannot end this without telling why its an entertainer.. The question goes to you.. Why Rajamanikyam was an entertainer even though story line was not new??! Its the sMe reason here as well.. "Nithyananda Shenoi", The megastar.. IF lalettan is the emperor Of natural acting, then mammookka is the god of method acting... unbelievable character transformation which takes the whole movie to a different level... I think he is going to bag more awards this year!!

I am not a person who can review the technical side of a movie, i felt BGM was really good and thoroughly engaging.. it kept the thrill till the end.. songs are ok to watch.. I am not sure why they gave A rating because the kid was using the gun for a long time??!! I can take my family without thing twice!!

Its an entertainer.. Watch it during the festive season.. Hopefully, 2nd Superhit for ikka 😊.. In terms of comparison on equal terms, Indian Rupee is still the best film..
