The team of ‘Mahanati’ is in jubilant mood. They expected that the film would become a hit but what they didn’t expect it that it would become a rage and would win such accolades. Although the film is running successfully all over, they didn’t do any massive promotional events after the release.

Now, the makers are planning to hold a big success event (25 days) in Vijayawada or Hyderabad. Producers Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt are now thinking to come up with some unique ideas for the event.

‘Mahanati’ is expected to cross Rs 40 Cr plus share worldwide by end of its lifetime run. Directed by Nag Ashwin, it starred Keerthy Suresh in the title role.

Is this really a non-commercial kinda film? Athyavashyam nalla commercial elements undu, comedy undu (although it didn't exactly work for me), cuteness undu (Keerthy as young Savitri), romance undu, melodrama undu (love triangle, infidelity etc), and also follows a sort of the heroes journey template (origin, hardships, rise, fall). Porathathinu, its a movie about movies and making movies. That too, a lot of yesteryear legends okke appear cheyyunna oru movie. Sherikkum ithu oru commercial cinema thanne aanu. Maybe it doesn't have the usual Telugu masala, but the director has packaged it very well according to the audience sensibility while not compromising on the story.


I don't think a movie like this would fail in Kerala. Nalla relevant topic aanel vamban hit aavum. Pakshe ithra eventful dramatic life ulla oru superstar actress namukkundo?
