Henrikh Mkhitaryan says the chance to "play offensive football" was one of the main reasons he agreed to join Arsenal from Manchester United

reports are City is going for a top striker next season... till then, with jesus, aguero and sterling finding goals (2 more and City will have scored 100 this season over all competitions), sanchez would be a baggage... against cardiff, guardiola even played sterling in central striker role... breaking the bank to buy a 29 year old would have seemed an unwanted move... if sanchez starts to play good, which he will (more than being under mourinho or being a manchester united player he need to, to justify the price tag) and City get plagued by injuries to sterling and aguero, everything will fall to pieces... right now guardiola is pretty impressed by the amount of chances created and goals scored and different players scoring that he felt a top and young defender (also considering laporte has the best passing accuracy for a defender in the top 5 leagues) should hold the fort while the guys at the front do their job. considering sanchez, no world cup, better pay and more playing time (may even turn out to be be a better poacher than lukaku) are definitely catchy.

He had problems with Mourinho and there is no surprise in it
Mourinho might have instructed his players for a pragmatic approach in some big games , targeting only the points rather than entertainment
..but I am thinking what LVG might have said to his players ...pass rightwards then backwards then leftwards ..do the same again ..
Whatever be there is improvement compared to Moyes/LVG period , unlike Fergie he may leave a better team for his successor to work on

60M for Mahrez. Just as cover for Sane's little boo boo. Remember folks Pep said "he's working on a budget and cant afford the fees"If he lands Mahrez thats 117m spent in a week. Doesnt he have an academy? Or is that what he calls the ArabsBut its Man Utd ruining football.

City weren?t willing to go above ?20m for Alexis, but are spending ?60m on Mahrez. Says it all.

Rumours that City are interested in Mahrez and are offering ?60m for him. If accepted, that will be half a billion pound spent under Pep Guardiola in 18 months. Half a billion. His words about working ?with in a budget? is a disgusting lie.

Pep the youth development expert loses Sane for a few weeks so goes in to the transfer market & spends 60 mil on Mahrez....despite having one of the best youth setups in the country.

Guardiola to bid ?60M for Mahrez , so that would be ?120M about 48 hours after saying he doesn't have money.

Pep Guardiola is a phenomenal manager but you can?t defend him on this one. Swear this guy was hailed for promoting youth and creating stars? What happens when a player gets injured? He goes and spends another ?70m.

Purely a personal opinion but would prefer to see City play Bernardo Silva more and give Brahim Diaz a decent chance (same would apply to Foden, too, but currently injured) than pursue a deal for Mahrez #MCFC#LCFC

City are a smart club, and Pep is an utterly brilliant coach, but with purchase of Laporte and ?50m bid for Mahrez, you've gotta admit they've *way* outspent the competition lately. Here's spending adjusted for transfer price inflation: they're the dot waaaay down at the bottom.
