meleparambil, fine i agree with you, though i would say rajasenan had a huge hand in it considering paleri failed to invoke the same sort of humor in his other movies... as for ponmuttayidunna tharaavu, the movie resembles more of a sathyan-sreeni product rather than paleri script if you consider the movies those guys have done prior and after...

if shyam is giving credit for sphadikam to the filmmaker, then the discredit of providing lalettan with upper caste roles should be given to those filmmakers too, why the bias?... what irked me is not that shyam criticised certain movies, he has the right to, no one denies him that... amal neerad long back said, 90's mimicry movies destroyed malayalam cinema... right or wrong, atleast he stayed away from making mimicry movies... shyam here is criticising a certain genre of movies which are exactly the type of movies he is writing now...

If we see it within the context of that cinema, the particular dialogue was said by soubin who is regular idukkikaran and it is unlikely that he would have criticized the director than the actor.

In terms of similarities with sathayan brand of cinema..... Ee cinemayil naayakanu vazhikaati aavunna naayika undu ....rasam entha ennu vetcha njan ulpade ulla viewers athu criticize cheythu kandilla......I think I was quite eager to point out that cliche in Prakashan though
