Although Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has shifted his priorities to films with messages and greater importance, he still hasn?t lost his thirst for action. If latest reports are to be believed, Akki has signed on a film with South director AR Murugadoss for a remake of the Hollywood blockbuster Million Dollar Baby (2004). The Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank starrer is based upon a young female aspiring to be a boxer and a coach who guides her to it.
In the Hindi remake, Akshay will play the role essayed by Clint Eastwood, of the boxing coach. For the role of the young girl, TV actress Marina Kunwar has been roped in. Marina Kunwar has been seen in popular TV Show CID, and also Salman Khan?s reality show Bigg Boss season 10. Talking about her big screen debut alongside Akshay Kumar, Marina told a media agency,?Working with a star like Akshay Kumar is like a dream come true, the journey from modelling to acting has been a major struggle but I have never given up and I am confident I will soon be recognized.?
Meanwhile, Marina will have to boost her fitness to the best for the role, and for that she is undergoing proper functional training along with maintaining a high protein diet for the role. The official announcement of the film remains to be made, but this promises to be one of the most exciting Akshay Kumar projects. The Toilet: Ek Prem Katha star is currenty shooting for his Independence day release Gold, and has kitty full of great films already. Let?s see if the coming year treats the superstar just as well as this one.

.Murugadoss is one film director who has dished out good entertainers throughout his career. The director recently stated that he would be directing Thalapathy Vijay for ‘Vijay 62’ which is eagerly anticipated by millions of fans worldwide.
Reportedly Murugadoss is all set to helm the remake of the Hollywood hit ‘Million Dollar Baby’ directed by Clint Eastwood for which he has bought the rights. The movie starring Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank in the lead roles is based on boxing and has bagged several Academy Awards.
Murugadoss’s film will have Akshay Kumar playing the character of Clint and TV actress Marina Kuwar making her debut into mainstream cinema. It is expected that the director will start on the project after he completes ‘Vijay 62’ with Thalapathy Vijay.
