Initially also I did not have much expectation on the movie since I was not very convinced that Nivin could play such a role to the level the movie demands. After seeing initial feedback in FK, I went with absolute 0 expectations. Theatre was HF with lot of ladies. Was surprised to see so many ladies for such a movie. Several of them were Tamilians I think. Seeing movie in EKM Sridhar is a different kind of experience always. The first Air Conditioned theatre in Kerala and they always make sure to upgrade the theatre with time. New seats put are much more comfortable than Multiplexes.


Now to the movie. The movie adopts a story telling mode of focussing on different characters and telling the story of each character as the main story progresses. Screen Space of Nivin is very limited in the first half since the focus is characters other than Richie. Even though Richie is always in the movie as all the characters are linked to Richie some way or the other. Even though not a lengthy first half we get a feeling that it is a long first half due to the heavy lag through out. But little lag is accceptable considering the mood of the movie. But this was little too much. Sometime before the Interval the focus shifts completely to Richie. His childhood episode and all have been shot well.


Second Half again goes through the usual narratives no surprises or twists or turns. Audience shows lack of interests in the proceedings which is clearly evident in the cinema hall. There are some good moments here are there - The romance track between Peter sister and the guy, Raghu and Mom etc. Then comes the much expected climax which again follows the much predicted pattern. The impact of climax is very less because the character Richie failed to establish a good connect with the Audience.


Positives
1 romantic song.
The guy who loves Peter's sister - He has done his role well. This was the only performance which I felt good in the movie.
Attempt to create a different mood which is different from usual movies.


Negatives
Nivin Pauly - Total misfit to the role. This is the main drawback of the movie and the movie fails miserably mainly due to this. Nivin is not able to bring in the intensity which the character demands and his dialogue delivery is just pathetic in this role.
Audience gets confused totally with the narration.


Overall Summary - Avoidable.


Crowd Response - Heavy response during the initial part of the movie. Then dies down. In Climax kooval and some claps.
