Manjima Mohan in Zam Zam Malayalam remake of Queen

honestly this feels like a disaster waiting to happen. Firstly, Manjima is not even a popular heroine in Malayalam (she's done two films and sounds like had a miniscule rule in Michael), so the initial for this film is going to be super low. A better fit would have been Aishwariya Lakshmi, Mamta, Nithya, or Parvathy though the initial would still be low probably. Secondly, the director is a non Malayali who has never worked in Malayalam before, so there's high risk of artificialty of scenes/settings. Thirdly, they've been promoting the Telugu, Kannada and Tamil version in the media and Manjima has been missing completely. Low hype, low publicity, non-saleable stars. It's gonna need amazing word of mouth to survive...

The Tamil ,Telugu, and Kannada versions of this film is being marketed decently. 3 baashakalilem heroinesine raajev massandum, anupama choparayum interview cheythu... Oru popular Hindi cinemayude South Indian remakes north indian mediayil promote cheyunathinte
guttans manasilayilla.... Still they are giving visibility to the film....only the Malayalam version is getting left out.

Happened to watch some bit of Rajeev massand interview. Parul yadav who is doing the Kannada version and is also the co producer of the film said that they made the character in Malayalam version a Muslim on purpose.
Unlike other states Kerala is more progressive and a girl wanting to travel alone won't be that big deal . So to make it more believable they made the character a Muslim.
