Finally watched kgf.. Prashanth Neel is superb, I turned into his biggest fan after watching the film.. Cinematography,lighting,editing everything is perfect..🙏 I was completely engrossed in the film in 2 half..only first half could have been better.. Could have done away with the songs and few heroism scenes..villain entry scene gave me goosebumps.. Best ever villain entry scene I have ever watched..Screenplay is very intelligent.. Yes there is shade of Ugramm movie.. Waiting for chapter 2 now.. Love to see how all those bad assessment fight among themselves to control KGF..
Couldn't stop whistling to the fight scene where he saves that old man..Prashanth Neel s as good as SSR in creating hero elevations and shot composition..

gripping masala padangal okke nannaayi enjoy cheyyaarundu, especially if the hero-villain face-off is built up nicely... KGF il individual action segments nannaayi cheythittundu but the film is loosely written and barring a few sequences -- like the one with the blind man -- oru sambhavam polum interesting aayi stage cheythittilla. dramatic, high-voltage action sequences but when they come without a solid backstory they don't take you far. couldn't connect much because there's no personal motive-vendetta, apart from Rocky's vague ambitions of being powerful.
trailer kandappo 80s style padam aanennu thoniyirunnu... even the treatment is so 80s that at times you wonder if this is a spoof -- single mother falling sick, son running around for money and bringing home a bottle of medicine, the dialogue-baazi, all very bachchan and salim-javed.
acting aanu major prashnam aayi thonniyathu. especially the supporting cast. thala chorinju potti chirichu bheekaratha srishtikkunna type kore villains um.
yash looks terrific and is packaged like a screen god. he has a solid presence that helps us ignore his rather plain show in the emotional and humorous (allegedly) sequences.
mothathil oru Mad Max Fury Road vibe attempt cheytha pole... they end up with a middling actioner just about watchable for the stunts and a breakout entry of Yash who could probably be Kannada cinema's first ever pan-India face.
watched the Tamil version, Fun Cinemas, Coimbatore. almost full aayirunnu. good response for the 'heroism' scenes and punch-lines.

This is something that no one could really see coming. However, it has happened, and how. KGF [Hindi] has not just turned out to be a success story; it is now also breaking records. After bringing in Rs. 1.25 crore on its second Friday, the film has amassed Rs. 22.70 crore. In the process it has comfortably gone past the lifetime collections of another dubbed film Robot [Rs. 20 crore].

The next target for the film is Rajinikanth?s Kabali [Hindi] which had collected Rs. 32 crore in its lifetime. The manner in which KGF [Hindi] is currently doing, that number should be surpassed by the end of second week.

Other dubbed films from down South which have done better are all Rs. 100 crore plus winners. While Baahubali ? The Beginning scored Rs. 117 crore, Baahubali ? The Conclusion was on a different planet altogether with Rs. 511 crore coming in just the Hindi version. As for 2018 release 2.0, it is in between with Rs. 190 crore being fetched from the dubbed Hindi version.
Still, these are films with names like SS Rajamouli, Shankar, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar associated with them. On the other hand KGF comes from an unknown territory with Prashanth Neil as the director, Yash as the leading man and language too as Kannada. That too is an achievement in itself as all other dubbed successes have been originally made in Tamil or Telugu.
With Saaho as the next biggie from down South getting readied for release, one waits to see the kind of records that it creates on its arrival in 2019.
KGF is unstoppable in USA and Canada. It has crossed $600k today and is now in to profit zone for the distributor. Highest ever Kannada movie grosser in USA and Canada by crossing the previous best with double margin already. Excellent 👍
