If producer releases the film without taking Theatre advance from any theatres, he can still do Wide Release.... But if he takes theatre advance, then the theatres which has given advance can block release in multiple theatres in that centre... That is a reasonable demand too right ???

That is a reasonable demand. So the best option is not to take advance from theatre owners in case they are releasing wide....

First of all orru Malayalam big budget movie pan-India success akaan, we have to think about someone other than the big M's playing the lead role!

Keralathil avarrku vann fan following thanne, orru samshyam vendaa. Pakshe in other states they see nothing more than over-wieght 60 year old men trying to enact younger roles! It's both wierd and cringe at moments, even with wigs, botox or whatever makeup they end up wearing!

Ithu nammude maathram vishwasam aanu avarre kanaan TN'ilum, Andhra'yilum alkaar ticket iduthu ee cinema'kal kandu vijaypikkum ennu.

    Not happening!

Perhaps the mantle should be passed onto the likes of Nivin, Tovino, DQ etc.....

You said it. Oru paridhi vare correct aanu though our Lal annan has a good market in AP and Telengana. I was just thinking of that. Here Iam giving an example of Kannada movie KGF. This is one movie which Kannada industry pins its hopes to expand its horizons to Pan Indian market. There are more chances of this happening since Yash is someone in his early 30's

Perhaps they should have dubbed Kayamkulam Kochunni and released it on same day in TN instead of Odiyan. And there should be a mass cum class movie of DQ which may even conquer Bollywood market

However while I agree with you Big M's market cannot be completely ruled out in Telugu regions and TN because still we have them playing a political leader in a Telugu biopic. Also dubbed version of Pulimurugan and Oppam are successes.

But we need to make use of their market in TN and AP by a simultaneous release in AP and TN. But genre is also important. It should be something like Kochunni or something else. We cannot think or dubbing a Vineeth Sreenivasan or Sathyan Anthikkad film into Tamil and Telugu

Illa bhai, while they might appreciate him to be a good actor he's no box office draw in Telugu! We see it that way because we are biased towards these stalwarts!

For me when it comes to cinema, there are few things that are universal i.e action, a good love story and music! Tick two of these boxes and the movie has good chances, all three then bound to become a BB. Social satire, comedy, Politics etc always need to have a strong local flavour hence difficult.

A good action thriller or romantic movie needs a younger lead in my opinion.
