I think the criticism is fine in this case... I haven't seen any Ikka fan criiticising Peranpu, Yathra, Mamankam, Bilal or even Madhuraraja... As projects, those are the ones suitable for Mammootty the Best Actor or Mammookka The Mega Star... Fans won't feel that bad, if he spent time for expetimental projects like Unda.. But movies like Ganagandharvan, Shylok doesn't gives any confidence anyone.. We have a long history of bad movies to prove this point... So its natural that the fans will be unhappy and they will express it

I really under stand that concerns even as a Mammootty Fan, I wished to ikka to see in such roles as well.
I will criticise him also if the movie is not upto the mark or even its a crap. But here the issue is different - just based on a photo how can you judge a movie and ikka's selection of movie? Fans is having all the rights to ciritising their hero once the product is delivered and the outcome is not satisifying the fans.
But its a bull shit to criticise the ikka and the whole movie just based on a photo/look of the movie
