19'nootandu shows the atroicities against women and men from lower casts which prevailed during that period as you already know. Its also about exploitation of the lower caste and financially backward class.

The movie also questions the corruption of certain aristocrats and how they use their power to exploit the poor. The protagonist of the story is Velayudha panickar who fights against these practices . The next main character is Nangeli who was bold women who feels that death is better than bowing down to such aristocrats

A story which everyone knows is being depicted in a manner which is engaging and visually brilliant. Cinematography, visuals and sound system is one of the best Mollywood has ever seen

Regarding the performances Siju Wilson is good in action scenes and every women character has been given a strong role and they have done justice to the role. Same with male characters like Anoop Menon probably first in his historical role of king who have done their characters really well. One of the best surprises is Vinayans son Vishnu who has done an awesome job. One of the best performances which need special mention is Chemban Vinod as kayamkulam kochunni. Among females I liked Deepti Sati better than the heroine who plays Nangeli. We also have Vinayans version of Kayamkulam kochunni or the other side which we come to know through this film. I dont know whether this is true. There are usual actors belonging to Vinayan camp like Krishna in this movie too

Overall this movie is worth a theatre watch and will not disappoint you.

One of the best scenes worth special mention is the title credits.

Positives:- Sound, visuals, BGM, performances good theatre experiences

Negatives:- Siju Wilson though good in action scenes when it comes to emoting there is something missing. Similarly some of the dialogues of women characters looks cliche and artificial. oru achadi bhasha pole. The the major drawback is supporting characters like Suresh Krishna do not offer freshness. He will always be there in such period films in character role

N.B:- Priyadarshan kind of directors should learn from Vinayan who made such a good one with limited budget compared to Marakkar. If marakkar had lots of lag and irritating melodrama this one is more faster with something happening in each scene.

In spite of its flaws 19th centure is a movie worth watch in theatres. You can go for it
