the song didn't work for me.
felt they tried a bit too hard to bring back that Deva style intro song vibe (Annamalai, Baasha, Arunachalam).
definitely falls short of what anirudh did with marana mass.
interestingly, the telugu version sounds much better. SPB has put in more there.

also, I was expecting a slick crime film from ARM but from this, it seems to be an attempt to recreate the more 'massy' 90s.

Screen'il varumbol set aakum with Thalaivar's swag.. Thuppaaki style slick crime aano expect cheyunne? ARM has slightly lost his touch in spyder and sarkar even though it had few good written portions. Hope he gets his touch back here..

yeah that's the hope.
i thought the SJ Surya portions, his back-story, was very interesting in Spyder but overall, very underwhelming. Sarkar had a good one-line thread and a few decent mass build-ups but terrible execution.
