Liverpool held off Austrian side FC Salzburg 4-3 in a wild Champions League group stage match
After racing out to a three-goal lead in the first half, the defending European champions saw their lead evaporate before Mohamed Salah's 69th-minute goal sealed the win at Anfield.

3-0 lead led to bit of laziness... As Klopp said - this is a lesson and hope team won't take Genk now lightly...

Manchester United's woes roll on with shock Europa draw at Alkmaar

Manchester United's alarming away form continued as they were held to an uninspiring 0-0 draw against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side failed to register a shot on target in the Europa League for the very first time as their winless run on the road stretched to a concerning 10 games.
United were indebted to David de Gea for a string of second-half saves as they escaped with a point

Bad performance as expected but good point away from home with a makeshift side featuring players who are probably on their final years
Vis-a-vis , Matic Mata Rojo and possibly Fred too who looked poor alongside a bunch of teenagers! Not good for the teenagers development to play alongside these players reaching expiry date!

Would like Ole to give start to Garner atleast now!

Clear that it isn't working with a midfield 3 of mct pogba and lingard/mata

Fred and matic isn't good either!

High time Ole take risks now with a midfield 3 of Pogba McTominay Garner and a front three of Rashford James and Greenwood until Martial returns from injury!

The only other positive yesterday apart from that point away from home, a certain Brandon Williams who should now challenge for Shaw's spot and ahead of Young in pecking order for LB spot!

Two stunning late free-kicks from Nicolas Pepe sealed a dramatic 3-2 win for Arsenal over Vitoria in the Europa League.

After 232 days, Man Utd have won an away game. Since defeating Paris Saint Germain 3-1 in the Parc des Princes last March, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team had failed to win any of their subsequent 11 road trips until, finally, the run was ended with a 1-0 Europa League victory against Partizan Belgrade in Serbia on Thursday.

United still have many issues to address -- they could not add to Anthony Martial's 43rd-minute penalty to score more than once in a game for the first time since the opening weekend of the season
