UEFA have been left in a potentially embarrassing position after executive committee member and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was charged in connection with a bribery investigation - less than a week after the governing body banned Manchester City from European competition for two years. The Swiss attorney general?s office announced that Al-Khelaifi has been charged with inciting former FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke to commit criminal mismanagement in relation to the awarding of media rights for FIFA tournaments.
The 46-year-old Nasser Al-Khelaifi was elected onto Uefa?s executive committee earlier this month, a move which raised eyebrows given PSG are being investigated for breaches of financial fair play (FFP).
