These are players identified by the scouting team. Inflated prices even at that stage, but they knew if they wait Liverpool would have to pay double the price for same quality. So they looked at top potentials from middling teams and then coached them into world class players. Simple as that.

There are other team members in this Liverpool team other than world's second expensive defender and that GK mate... Of course Carra meant those.... Spot on really well.... And those 2 members also vastly improved under Klopp (if you don't agree - its bcoz of not opening eyes)
