Chandrashekhara Warrier is on a life support system in a hospital in the US. Except for his right arm, his whole body is paralyzed. He had come to the US twenty years back in search of fortune. A near fatal car crash has brought an end to the search. He is now face to face with death. Pull the plug, and Warrier is a dead man. His parents and fianc?e fly in from Kerala. They are heart-broken. The big question on their minds now is: Should he continue living on the life support system' Or is euthanasia (mercy killing) the answer' Or is there a third alternative - a miracle' This is the story of Albhutham, which in Malayalam means miracle. Setting a record in the Indian film industry, director Jayaraj has completed the shooting of the film is two hours and fourteen minutes - which in itself is a miracle. The entire film was shot at the Ramojee Film City, Hyderabad at one stretch after seven days of intensive rehearsals. Though initially the film was to be produced in English, subsequently it was decided to have it also in Malayalam. Albhutham has Suresh Gopi in the lead role of Chandrashekhara Warrier, with Mamta Mohandas playing the lead female role. French actress Audrey and Swiss actor Christopher also have fairly good roles to play. The film is scheduled to be released shortly.
